A funeral will be held Sunday, February 16th, 2003 for 94-year-old Erna B. Bass of Perryille, who died Thursday, February 13th, 2003 at the Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born May 5th, 1908 in Perryville, the daughter of Henry J. and Albertine L. (Vogt) Ochs who both preceded her in death.

She married George A. "Bert" Bass on April 22nd, 1933. He also preceded her in death.

Survivors include Joyce and Elmer Balsman of Perryville; Diane and Kenneth Besand of Perryville and Charles and Nancy Moore of Brighton, MI; along with several nieces and nephews.

A sister, Minnie Moore, also preceded her in death.

She was a retired school teacher. She also worked at the International Shoe office and was a Homemaker. She was also a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Aid of Perryville.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, February 15th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home Chapel and then from 8-11:45 a.m. Sunday, February 16th at the funeral home.

A funeral for 94-year-old Erna B. Bass will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, February 16th at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville with Rev. Craig Otto officiating. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or the School Building Fund.
