Marie T. Counts
She was born November 11th, 1914 in Perry County, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ora Thorpe Comte. She married Floyd W. "Shorty" Counts. He also preceded her in death. She is survived by a son-in-law Raymond Lappe of Perryville and a sister, Rachel Hagan of Ste. Genevieve. Five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene Lappe, plus three sisters and five brothers. She had worked at International Shoe Company and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville and a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, January 7th and from 6:30-9:50 a.m. Wednesday, January 8th at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday and the Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A funeral for 88-year-old Marie T. Counts will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 8th, 2003 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Reverend Kevin P. Fausz officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Donor's Choice.
