Stella Marie Esselman

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003 for 93-year-old Stella Marie Esselman who died Thursday, Jan. 23 at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born on Aug. 11, 1909 in Perry County, the daughter of the late Fred M. and Mary Louise Cissell Moore.

She was married to David Edward Esselman on Feb. 22, 1927. He preceded her in death on June 6, 1982.

Five children survive: Dolores Schumer of Sun City, Fla.; Mary Baker of Pensacola, Fla.; Joan Hayden of Perryville; Eugene Esselman of Quincy, Ill.; and Jerry Esselman of St. Louis.

One brother, William Moore, survives in Madisonville, La.

Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

One sister and five brothers preceded her in death.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality.

Visitation will be from 4:00-9:00 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 27 at the Miller Family Funeral Home. Parish wake service at 7:00 p.m. Monday. Visitation will also be from 6:30-11:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28. The rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass for Stella Marie Esselman will be held Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Tom Esselman will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
