A funeral will be held Wednesday, July 9th, 2003 for 93-year-old Bertha S. Doering of Owensville, formerly of Altenburg, who died Saturday, July 5th, 2003 at Frene Valley South in Owensville.

She was born August 21st, 1909 in Altenburg, the daughter of Gustave and Mary (Pilz) Kuntze, who both preceded her in death.

She married Hugo O. Doering on April 29th, 1934. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include: three daughters and sons in law, Mary Ann and Thomas Mudd of St. Peters, Pauline and John Fadler of Owensville and Vivian and Lowell Lueders of St. Charles; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, including her twin Hildagard Fangmann and Hulda; three brothers, Edward, Martin and Eberhard; and one granddaughter Roberta Loebner.

She was retired from Fischer's Store in Altenburg, where she had been a cashier.

She was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg and the Trinity Bible Class.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 8th and 6:30-8:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 9th at the Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg.

A funeral for 93-year-old Bertha S. Doering of Owensville, formerly of Perryville, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 9th at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. William Zastrow will officiate.
