A funeral will be held Wednesday, July 23rd, 2003 for 71-year-old Catherine "Rita" Price Berns, formerly of Perryville, who died Tuesday, July 8th at the Brendan House in Kalispell, Montana.

She was born November 28th, 1931 in Perryville, the daughter of James Elder and Della Schindler Elder who both preceded her in death.

She married Michael Price on May 1st, 1951.

She married Everett P. Berns on July 2nd, 1998 who survives in Kalispell, Montana.

Survivors also include: one daughter, Linda Dicks of Denver, Colorado; two sons and one daughter in law, Michael and Patti Price of Saline, Michigan and Patrick Price of Dearborn, Michigan; one step daughter, Catherine Ghylin of Bremerton, Washington; three brothers, Paul Elder and Roger Elder, both of Perryville and Jim Elder of Detroit, Michigan; and two sisters, Anna Hoffman of St. Louis and Josie Berek of Chico, California.

A brother, Buddy Elder, and two sisters, Rosie and Ceil, also preceded her in death.

Ten grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive her.

She was an administrative assistant, working in advertising.

Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Tuesday, July 22nd and 6:30-11:20 a.m. Wednesday, July 23rd at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. A parish wake will be held at 7 p.m.

A funeral for 71-year-old Catherine "Rita" Price Berns, formerly of Perryville, will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin P. Fausz, C.M., will officiate.

Memorials may be made to family preference.
