A funeral will be held Friday, July 25th, 2003 for 86-year-old Mary F. Clay of Perryville who died Monday, July 21st at Perry Oaks Manor.

She was born December 21st, 1916 in Evanston, Illinois, the daughter of Henry Schwall and Hedwig Pestka Schwall, who both preceded her in death.

She married Stephen J. Clay. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, Stephen J. Clay of Perryville; Michael Clay of Memphis, Tennessee; and Mark Clay of Las Vegas, Nevada; one sister, Betty Hall of the state of Pennsylvania; one brother, Bud Schwall of Chicago, several grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

One brother, Matt Schwall, and one sister, Louise Cook, also preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker and member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 24th and 6:30-11:20 a.m. Friday, July 25th at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. A parish wake will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

A funeral mass for 86-year-old Mary F. Clay of Perryville will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 25th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Techny, Illinois. The Rev. Bill Thess will officiate.
