Irene M. Clifton A funeral will be held Tuesday, March 18th, 2003 for 81-year-old Irene M. Clifton of Perryville who died Saturday, March 16th at Ratliff's Care Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born October 17th, 1921 in Perry County, the daughter of Charles Winters and Imogene (Cashion) Winters who both preceded her in death. She married Howard Clifton on December 24th, 1939 in Longtown. He preceded her in death. Five sons, Ron of Cape Girardeau, Floyd of Essex, Harold of Perryville, Allen and Roger of Perryville, survive her. Eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survive her. Two sisters, two brothers and three grandchildren also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and member of the United Methodist Church in Perryville. She was also a member of the Methodist Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, St. Mary's Chapter No. 338 of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a charter member of the Perry County Democratic Women's Club and an avid bingo player. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. this (Monday, March 17th) afternoon and evening and 6:30-11 a.m. Tuesday, March 18th, at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. An Eastern Star service will be held at 7:30 this evening at the funeral home. A funeral for 81-year-old Irene M. Clifton of Perryville who died Saturday, March 16th will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 18th at the Miller Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Home Cemetery. The Rev. Jerry Willer will officiate. Memorials may be made to donor's choice.
