L. Byrd Frentzel

Funeral service will be held Monday, Nov. 24, 2003 for 79-year-old L. Byrd Frentzel of Perryville who died Nov. 21 at his residence.

He was born on Oct. 17, 1924 in Perryville, the son of the late A.E. and Nellie (Byrd) Frentzel.

He was married to Winnie Abernathy on Sept. 9, 1950. She survives in Perryville.

Two sons, two daughters-in-law, two daughters and one sons-in law survive: Alan and Rhonda Frentzel, Kirk and Cindy Buchheit, Christy and Paul Leuckel and Tammy Humphrey, all of Perryville.

Two brothers survive, Alvin Frentzel of Topeka, Kan., and Robert Frentzel of Perryville.

Ten grandchildren also survive: Tonya Mangione, Matthew Frentzel, Terri Green, Jessica Buchheit, Scott, Mark and Robin Leuckel, Bradley and Christina Bollinger, and Bryce Humphrey.

Seven great-grandchildren survive: Kaitlin, Nicholas, Madison and Ryan Mangione, Austin Mangels and Maecy and Melanie Boxdorfer.

He was a member of American Legion Post 133 and World War II Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Jenny Buchheit.

Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 23 from 4:00-9:00 p.m. and on Monday, Nov. 24 from 6:30-10:30 a.m. at Young and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral service for 79-year-old L. Byrd Frentzel will be held Monday, Nov. 24, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at Young and Sons Chapel. Rev. Kevin Fausz CM will officiate. Burial will be in the York Chapel Cemetery.

Memorial preference is to Southeast Hospice.
