Charles E. ‘Sonny’ Geile A funeral will be held Saturday, November 22nd, 2003 for 68-year-old Charles E. "Sonny" Geile of Brewer, who died today, (Tuesday, November 18th) at Perry County Memorial Hospital. He was born October 15th, 1935 in Silver Lake, the son of Edgar C. and Eleanor (Tucker) Geile, who both preceded him in death. He married Barbara A. Elder on March 22nd, 1953. She survives in Brewer. Survivors also include: three sons and daughters in law, Steve and Marilyn Geile of Wheatland, Wyoming; Mike and Cindy Geile of Wheatland, Wyoming and Jeff and Debbie Geile of Perryville; one sister, Shirley Mantovani of St. Charles; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. A sister, Virginia Head, also preceded him in death. He was a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Masonic Lodge, Bass Casters and was an American Legion Booster. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Friday and 6:30-9:50 a.m. Saturday at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A Catholic wake will be held at 7:15 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A funeral for Charles E. "Sonny" Geile of Brewer will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Silver Lake. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Alphonse Hoernig will officiate. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to family use. |
