Betty L. Brown A funeral will be held Thursday, September 4th, 2003 for 69-year-old Betty L. Brown of Perryville who died Sunday, August 31st at Christian Northeast Hospital in St. Louis. She was born June 4th, 1934 in St. Louis, the daughter of Leo C. and Freda (Johnson) Reid, who both preceded her in death. She married Leroy E. Brown on July 27th, 1963. He survives in Perryville. Survivors also include: four brothers and three sisters, William "Bill" Reid of St. Louis; Pauline Heberlie of Ste. Genevieve; Robert Reid of Rosewell, New Mexico; David Reid of Jackson; Geneva "Sue" Weber of Jackson; Carol Detjen of Perryville; and Terry Reid of Perryville; nieces, nephews, and a very special niece and nephew, Gina (Reid) Martin and Robbie Reid. She was also preceded in death by five brothers. She was a leather stitcher with the International Shoe Factory in Perryville and a member of the Lithium Baptist Church. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Wednesday, September 3rd and 6:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 4th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A funeral for 69-year-old Betty L. Brown of Perryville will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 4th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. Burial will be in the Home Cemetery. The Rev. Gerold McBride will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association or Kidney Foundation.
