A funeral will be held Friday, September 26th, 2003 for 79-year-old Retha L. Brown of Perryville, who died Wednesday, September 24th at the Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born June 20th, 1924, the daughter of Charles and Esther (Corse) Gale who both preceded her in death.

She married Cletus M. Brown on April 25th, 1943. He survives in Perryville.

Survivors also include: one son and daughter in law, Marion and Patti Brown of St. Mary; one brother and sister in law, Charles and Helen Gale of Atlanta; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A son, Robert M. Brown, also preceded her in death.

She was of the Baptist faith, a member of the VFW Auxiliary and volunteer at the Senior Citizens Center in Perryville.

Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. this (Thursday, September 25th) afternoon and evening and 6:30-10 a.m. Friday, September 26th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for 79-year-old Retha L. Brown of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 26th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Home Cemetery. The Rev. Gerold McBride will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Home Cemetery or to the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Crosstown.
