Agnes I. Grebing

A funeral will be held Tuesday, August 3rd, 2004 for 94-year-old Agnes I. Grebing of Altenburg, who died Saturday, July 31st, at the Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born January 17th, 1910 in Altenburg, the daughter of Martin W. and Elizabeth (Roth) Schmidt, who both preceded her in death.

She married Bernhard Fischer on April 19th, 1936. He preceded her in death.

She married William Hart on October 1, 1955. He preceded her in death.

She married Charles Grebing on May 20th, 1978. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include a stepson, Vernon Grebing of Frohna; three stepdaughters, Ruth Bremer of Frohna, Dorothy Lichtenegger of Jackson and LaVerne Mirly of Monrovia, California; five nephews and two nieces, Delbert Schmidt and Aline Hecht of Altenburg, Melvin Schmidt of Cape Girardeau, Dorothy Hemman of Brazeau, Virgil Noenning, Ralph Petzoldt, and Richard Weinhold, all of St. Louis, numerous stepgrandchildren and stepgreat grandchildren.

Two brothers, Theodore and Martin Schmidt; four sisters, Emma Noenning, Olga Petzoldt, Nora Schmidt and Concordia Weinhold; two stepsons, Milton and Ray Grebing and one niece, Vercile Strego, also preceded her in death.

She was a cashier for 24 years at Citizens Electric in Altenburg and a homemaker.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Churchand East Perry Senior Citizens in Altenburg.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. this (Monday, August 2nd) evening and 6:30-8:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 3rd at the Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg.

A funeral for 94-year-old Agnes I. Grebing of Altenburg, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 3rd at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Ronald Paseur will officiate.
