Claude L. Herron A funeral will be held Saturday, August 21, 2004 for 80-year-old Claude L. Herron of West Plains, who died Wednesday, August 18th at the Ozark Medical Center in West Plains. He was born August 16th, 1924 in Elvins, the son of Charles J. and Leona S. (Shrum) Herron, who both preceded him in death. He married Etta Mae Hendrix on November 23rd, 1946. She preceded him in death. Survivors include: one daughter, Gloria Grantham of Perryville; a son and daughter in law, Greg and Donna Herron of West Plains; two sisters, Gladys Zahner and Mabel Johnson; four grandchildren, Becky and Joey Munier, Kimberly and Justin Freeman and Kristin Herron; one great grandchild, Elizabeth Munier; three brothers in law; five sisters in law; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Faye French. Four brothers also preceded him in death. He was retired from the Coca Cola Bottling Company in West Plains. He was a member of the Elk Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church in West Plains and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Visitation will be noon until 2 p.m. Saturday at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A funeral for 80-year-old Claude L. Herron of West Plains will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 21st, 2004 at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. Burial will be in the Whitewater Cemetery in Yount. The Revs. Don Estes and Alan Martin will co-officiate. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. |
