Merlin F. Guyot Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 23rd, 2004 for 87-year-old Merlin F. Guyot of Perryville, who died Sunday, December 19th at the Perry County Nursing Home.
He married Bonnie Murray August 21st, 1943. She survives in Perryville. Survivors also include: three sons, David Guyot of Overland Park, James Guyot and Richard Guyot, both of Perryville; a daughter, Mary Guyot of Wentzville; two sisters, Alberta Hill of Des Moines, Iowa, and Rita Balsman of Perryville; nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. He was the owner/manager of Guyot Lumber in Perryville for 58 years, and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, American Legion Post #133, Perryville Industrial Development (retired), was a past president of the St. Vincent Alumni Association, member of the Chamber of Commerce, and was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus. Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, December 22nd, and 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. Thursday, December 23rd at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers with the Knights of Columbus at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday. The Rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. Thursday. Funeral Mass for 87-year-old Merlin F. Guyot will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, December 23rd, 2004 at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with burial in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate. American Legion Post 133 will conduct military graveside honors. You may make memorials to the St.Vincent school system. |
