Washington Eli "Bill" Holifield

Funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004 for 83-year-old Washington Eli "Bill" Holifield, formerly of Perryville, who died Tuesday, Feb. 17 at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born on July 15, 1920 in Cardwell, Mo., the son of the late George Washington and Dorthula Ellar (Melton) Holifield.

Two sons, three daughters and one step-daughter survive: Ronald Holifield of Arizona; Wayne Holifield of Perryville; Delores Archer of Georgia; Cheryl Brace of Perryville; Angela Marie Holified of Jackson; and Ashley Kiefer of Jackson.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, Robert and Clarence; two sisters, Geraldine McRoy and Opal Holifield; and one grandson preceded him in death.

Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 21 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Young and Sons Funeral Home. Memorial service for Washington Eli "Bill" Holifield will be held Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Young and Sons Chapel. Rev. Don Cox will officiate. Burial will be in Reagan Chapel Cemetery in Bollinger County.

Memorial preference is for family use.
