Funeral service will be held Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004 for 65-year-old Mattie C. Busch of Perryville who died Jan. 5 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born on May 14, 1938 in Yount, Mo., the daughter of Walter K. and Mabel Heaps.

She was married to Harold L. Helms on Oct. 18, 1958. He preceded her in death on Aug. 12, 1987.

She married Theodore R. Busch Sr. on Nov. 3, 1994. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1998.

One son, three daughters and one step-daughter survive: James Helms, Elizabeth Helms, Nancy Riney, and Donna Kuhn, all of Perryville; and Eureka Knight of Blandford, Fla.

One brother, Harold Heaps, survives in Perryville.

Also surviving are 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two step sons, John and Wayne Busch.

She was a member of Whitewater Christian Church.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 7 from 4:00-9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 6:30-10:00 a.m. at Young and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral service for Mattie C. Busch will be held Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Young and Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Alan martin will officiate. Burial at Whitewater Christian Cemetery.

Memorial preference is to American Lung or Heart Association.
