Funeral service will be held Monday, February 2, 2004 for 84-year-old Leona K. Cissell of Perryville who died Thursday, Jan. 29 at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born on June 19, 1919 in Perry County, the daughter of the late Douglas and Nettie (Luckey) Nelson.

She was married to Clarence Augustin Cissell on April 11, 1953. He preceded her in death on March 24, 1990.

One son, two daughters and sons-in-law survive: Robert J. Cissell of Katy, Tex.; Katherine Ann and Roger Kemna of DeSoto; and Mary Sue and Robert Ronan of Perryville.

Also surviving are four grandchildren.

One brother and four sisters preceded her in death.

Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 6:30-9:30 a.m. at Young and Sons chapel. Catholic wake service will be Sunday at 7:00 p.m. American Legion auxiliary will meet at 7:15 p.m. The rosary will be recited on Monday at 9:00 a.m.

Funeral Mass for Leona K. Cissell will be held Monday, February 2, 2004 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorial preference is to Mount Hope Cemetery.
