Kathy A. Fischer A funeral will be held Thursday, June 3rd, 2004 for 44-year-old Kathy A. Fischer of Perryville, who died Monday, May 31st at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville. She was born October 21, 1959 at Perryville, the daughter of Troy S. and Mildred (Glaub) Kiefer. Her mother survives in Perryville. She married Bill J. Fischer July 9th, 1983. He survives in Perryville. Survivors also include three sons, Christopher Fischer, Zachary Fischer and Joel Fischer all of Perryville; five brothers and three sisters in law and two sisters and brothers in law, Michael and Wilma Kiefer, Troy J. and Anna Kiefer, Daniel and Darlene Kiefer, Louise and Roy Finger and Mary and Rick Hoehn, all of Perryville and Kenneth Kiefer of Jackson and Dwight Kiefer of Cape Girardeau. A sister, Juanita Kiefer, also preceded her in death. She was a music teacher at Perryville Elementary School since 1999 and had been a kindergarten and elementary music teacher at St. Vincent from 1985 to 1999. She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, where she was the former choir director and accompanist and was currently a choir member at The Shrine of the Miraculous Medal. She was also a member of the Sisters of Isabella, Missouri State Teacher's Association and Missouri National Education Association. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Wednesday, June 2nd and 6:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 3rd at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A Catholic wake will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday and the Rosary will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A funeral for 44-year-old Kathy A. Fischer of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 3rd at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The Revs. Kevin Fausz, C.M. and Charles Shelby C.M., will be co-officiating. Memorials are preferred to the Perryville Elementary music program, the St. Vincent music program, the adult choir or American Cancer Society. |
