Marile "Jean" Cissell

Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 13, 2004 for 73-year-old Marile “Jean” Cissell of Perryville who died Thursday, Mar. 11.

She was born on October 7, 1930 in Perry County, the daughter of the late Oliver and Gertrude (Gibler) Smith.

She was married to Perry W. Cissell on Nov. 15, 1947. He preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 1998.

Two daughters and sons in law and four sons and daughters-in-law survive: Nancy and Randy Hlavek, Dana and Brian Walker, Ronnie and Sharon Cissell, Bill and Pam Cissell, Steve and Gail Cissell, and Allen and Becky Cissell, all of Perryville.

One sister and one brother survive: Kenny Smith of Perryville; and Virginia Zoellner of St. Peters.

Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Christ the Savior Catholic church in Brewer.

A son, Thomas, and two sisters, Verna Huber and Donna Frentzel, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be Friday from 4:00-9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 6:30-9:30 a.m. at Young and Sons Funeral Home. Catholic wake will be Friday at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass for Marile “Jean” Cissell of Perryville will be held Saturday, Mar. 13, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer. Rev. Felipe Martinez will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Memorial preference is to Masses or Southeast Hospice.
