Wallace "Wally" Baudendistel
He was born on Dec. 12, 1914 in silver Lake, the son of the late Lawrence and Anna Deitsch Baudendistel. He was married to Verna A. Richardet on Sept. 21, 1940. She survives in Perryville. Two sons, a daughter-in-law, one daughter, and one son-in-law survive: Stephen Baudendistel of Houston, Tex.; David and Mary Beth Baudendistel of Hannibal; and Linda and Mark Buerck of Cape Girardeau. Two brothers and two sisters survive: Carl Baudendistel of Perryville; Howard Baudendistel of St. Louis; Rita Mullins of Perryville; and Anita Wendel of St. Louis. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Kyle Buerck of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; Jay Buerck of Columbia; and Megan Baudendistel of Hannibal, Mo. Six brothers, Sylvester, Joseph, Robert, Francis, Julius and Emmett; one sister, Blanche; and one grandson, Jeremy Baudendistel, preceded him in death. Mr. Baudendistel worked at Sabreliner Aircraft Industries at McBride. He retired in 1981. He was a World War II Army Veteran serving in the South pacific. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, First Degree Knight of Columbus, and the Holy Name Society. Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 25 at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers with the K of C at 7:00 p.m. visitation will continue on Friday, March 26 from 6:30-9:50 a.m. The rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. Funeral mass for Wallace "Wally" Baudendistel will be held Friday, march 26 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Kevin Fausz, C.M. will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery with graveside military honors courtesy of American Legion Post 133. Memorials may be sent to Southeast Hospice Dialysis Center.
