Howard W. Geile A funeral was held today, (Monday, May 24, 2004) for 86-year-old Howard W.Geile of Perryville who died Friday, May 21st at his home. He was born July 18, 1917 in Silver Lake, the son of Theodore and Alice (French) Geile, who both preceded him in death. He married Mary Ann Henneke on June 17th, 1944. She preceded him in death. Survivors also include: two sons, three daughters and their spouses: Pat and Henry Eschenbrenner of Silver Lake, Sharon Eschenbrenner of Perryville, Kenny and Gemma Geile of Perryville, Joe and Diane Geile of Perryville and Carolyn Geile of St. Louis; one brother, Glenn Geile of Silver Lake; a brother in law and his spouse, Carl and Laverne Henneke of Perryville; five grandchildren and one great granddaughter. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, George, Leon, Earl and infant John Geile and two sisters, Mamie Anthony and Dora Hudson. He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Post No. 133, VFW Post No. 4282 and he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, spending most of the time in the Aleutian Islands. A funeral for 86-year-old Howard W. Geile of Perryville was held today (Monday, May 24th) at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin Fausz, C.M., will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Department of Forestry. Arrangements were by the Young and Sons Funeral Home. |
