Lucille M. Gisi Griffard

A funeral will be held Tuesday, May 18th, 2004 for Lucille M. Gisi Griffard of Perryville who died Friday, May 14th at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born February 1st, 1912 in Perry County, the daughter of Vincent and Rosella Gibbar Mattingly who both preceded her in death.

She married Raymond Gisi. He preceded her in death.

She married David Griffard on January 7th, 1989. He survives in Perryville.

Survivors also include: two sons, Raymond Gisi of Maryland Heights and Glennon Gisi of St. Charles; one daughter, Shirley Unterreiner of Maryland Heights; a sister, Mary Mattingly of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Melvin Mattingly of Cape Girardeau; Bertrand Mattingly of Brewer and Cullen Mattingly of St. Mary; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Two sons, two brothers, two sisters and one grandchild also preceded her in death.

She had worked in the Dietary Department at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville and also had worked at the Sunrise Nursing Home as a nurses' aide.

She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Ladies of Charity.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. this (Monday, May 17th) afternoon and evening and 6:30-8:50 a.m. Tuesday, May 18th at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers will be said at 5 p.m. this (Monday, May 17th) evening and the Rosary will be recited at 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 18th at the funeral home.

A funeral mass for 92-year-old Lucille M. Gisi Griffard of Perryville will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 18th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin Fausz, C.M., will officiate.

Memorials may be made to Masses or to the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
