A funeral will be held Tuesday, November 23rd, 2004 for 73-year-old John Foster Jr. of Sikeston, formerly of Perryville, who died Friday, November 20th at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born August 6th, 1931 in Menfro, the son of John Foster Sr. and Pearl Ellen (Davis) Foster, who both preceded him in death.

Survivors include: his ex-wife, Julia "Billie" Palmer; one daughter, Susan Ellen Grothe of St. Charles; one son, John Carl Foster of Wentzville; two sisters, Hallie Hughey of Chaffee and Ruth Feller of Ellisville; three grandchildren, Douglas Grothe and Michael and Stacy Foster; and three great grandchildren, Mariyah, Carrson and Nicole.

Two brothers, Dennis and Robert and a sister, Nellie Caggiano, also preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Baptist family.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. this (Monday, November 22nd) evening and 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 23rd at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery in Crosstown. The Rev. Steve Francis will officiate.

Memorials are preferred for family use.
