A funeral was held this morning, Monday, November 22nd, 2004, for 86-year-old Veda Mary Benline of Perryville who died Friday, November 20th at the Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born August 3rd, 1918 in Prairie du Rocher, the daughter of Ralph and Laura (Queffemme) Donjon who both preceded her in death.

She married Roscoe H. Benline on December 17th, 1935. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son and daughter in law, William and Harriet Benline of Perryville and Melba Ruebke of Steelville, illinois; a sister, Donna Beinlein of Perryville; nine grandchildren, Allen Rupke, Susan Hughey, Carol Hatcher, Mary Schroeder, Deborah Hughes, Sandra Geagle, Jay Benline, Catherine Lawrence and William C. Benline; 17 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

She was also preceded in death by a son in law, Edward Ruebke, and three brothers, Vernon, Ralph and Cletus Donjon.

She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella.

A funeral for 86-year-old Veda Mary Benline was held this morning (Monday, November 22nd) at the Young and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Perryville. Burial was in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin Fausz, C.M., officiated.
