A funeral was held today, Monday. October 18th, 2004 for 78-year-old Erika M. Adams of Perryville who died Saturday, October 16th at her home.

She was born February 11th, 1926 in Kirschdugen, Germany, the daughter of Karl Hans and Lina (Hemman) Hans, who both preceded her in death.

She married Claude "Bud" Adams on August 28th, 1948 in Kaufberen, Germany. He survives in Perryville.

Survivors also include: one son and daughter in law, Karl and Donna Adams of Perryville; a daughter and son in law, Linda K. and Ron Thieret of Perryville; five grandchildren and three spouses, Kathryn and Perry Beier of Perryville, Karl II and Trish Adams of Perryville; Erik and Laura Beth Thieret of Chester, Illinois, Ryan Thieret of Perryville and Adam Thieret of Perryville; two great grandchildren, Brett Beier and Lance Beier of Perryville; two step great grandchildren, Cassy Beier and Tyler Beier and a sister, Gretel Koeclel of Kirschdugen, Germany.

A brother also preceded her in death.

She was a licensed practical nurse at Perry County Memorial Hospital for 45 years.

She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

A funeral mass for 78-year-old Erika M. Adams of Perryville was held today, Monday, October 18th, at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial was in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin Fausz, C.M. officiated.

Memorials may be made to the Southeast Hospice.

The Miller Family Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
