Mildred A. Feltz A funeral will be held Wednesday, October 20th, 2004 for 89-year-old Mildred A. Feltz of Sereno, who died Sunday, October 17th at the Perry County Nursing Home. She was born October 28th, 1914 in Perry County, the daughter of William Pius and Victoria (Reiss) Hagan who both preceded her in death. She married E.V. "Shorty" Feltz on April 24th, 1934. He preceded her in death. Survivors include: one daughter and son in law, Margie and Chalmer "Bud" Herron of O'Fallon; four grandchildren and their spouses, Donna and Don Marshall, Bud and Cher Herron, Cindy and Pete Szarek and Nancy and Mark Krieger; 12 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She was a sales clerk in the women's department at Rozier's Mercantile. She was a longtime employee of Rozier's department store where she truly enjoyed working and making friends with her many customers. The highlight of her life was the time she spent with her family sharing old memories and creating new ones. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno, Ladies' Sodality and Church quilt club. Visitation will be 4-8:30 p.m. this (Tuesday, October 19th) afternoon and evening and 6:30-9:20 a.m. Wednesday, October 20th, at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. Catholic wake at 7 p.m. this evening. A funeral mass for 89-year-old Mildred A. Feltz of Sereno will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 20th at the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Francis Agnew will officiate. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church or to the Alzheimer's Association. |
