A funeral will be held Friday, October 1st, 2004 for 94-year-old Jesse S. Brewer of Perryville, who died today, Wednesday, September 29th, at the Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born July 30th, 1910 in Perry County, the son of Lawrence and Roseann (Reed) Brewer who both preceded him in death.

He married Iceal E. Mowry on July 4, 1932. She preceded him in death.

Survivors include: three sons and daughters in law, Glen and Pauline Brewer and Thomas and Artie Brewer, all of Perryville and George and Linda Brewer of St. Mary; six daughters and five sons in law, Ruby and Robert Kluender, Velda and Dale Monier and Jane Garland, all of Perryville; Marie and Lawrence Johnson of Sedgewickville; Mildred and Olen Hayes of St. Mary; and Irene and Joe Bollinger of Fredericktown; 25 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Edward Brewer.

He was a retired farm hand and poultry processing laborer.

He was a member of the Christ, the Savior, Catholic Church in Brewer.

Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Thursday, September 30th and 6:30-9:30 a.m. Friday, October 1st at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A parish wake will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

A funeral mass for 94-year-old Jesse S. Brewer of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 1st at the Christ, Our Savior, Catholic Church in Brewer. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Felipe Martinez will officiate.
