A funeral will be held Thursday, April 28th, 2005 for 77-year-old Jean L. Cissell of Perryville who died Monday, April 25th at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born September 17th, 1927 in Perryville, the daughter of John and Lela (Rabe) Diefenbach who both preceded her in death.

She married Joseph E. Cissell on January 24th, 1953. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include: two sons and daughters in law, Michael and Terri Cissell of Farmington and Robert J. and Jeanna Cissell of Troy; a twin sister, Jeanette Schamburg of Bloomington, Illinois; and two grandchildren, Cory J. and Sarah K. Cissell.

She had been employed as a stitcher at Prince Gardner and she had worked at Tri-Con.

She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville. She was also a member of the Altar Guild and Archives Committee and Perryville High School Alumni Association.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 27th and 6:30-9 a.m. Thursday, April 28th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for 77-year-old Jean L. Cissell of Perryville will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 28th at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Christopher Cole will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Chancel Guild at Immanuel Lutheran Church or to the Immanuel Lutheran School.
