Milton Charles Dickmann A funeral will be held Thursday, April 21st, 2005 for 85-year-old Milton Charles Dickmann of Winter Haven, Florida, formerly of Friedheim, who died Thursday, April 14th in Winter Haven. He was born April 1st, 1920 in Friedheim, the son of the late Arthur H. and Hulda (Springer) Dickmann. He married Leila O. Bergman November 25th, 1945. She preceded him in death. Survivors include: three sons, David Dickmann of Denver, CO, Glenn Dickmann of Battle Creek, MI, Kevin Dickmann of Chicago; a daughter, Virginia Bryant of Haines City, FL; a brother, Allen Dickmann of Cahokia, IL; a sister, Lorna Bachmann of Perryville; four grandchildren. Two brothers, Leland and Burnell Dickmann, also preceded him in death. He was a contract manager for the U. S. Air Force and U. S. Navy. He was a veteran of WW II, flying 35 bombing missions for the U. S. Army Air Corps. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Winter Haven, where he was an active chairman. He was a member of the Wright-Patterson Century Club, Disabled American Veterans, Huber Heights Senior Citizens, and was president of the Senior Citizens League in Dayton Ohio. He was also an avid square dancer. Visitation will be 5:30-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 20th, and 6:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 21st at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A funeral for 85-year-old Milton Charles Dickmann of Winter Haven, Florida, formerly of Friedheim, will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 21st at the Young and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Perryville. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Military graveside honors will be provided by American Legion Post 133. The Rev. Christopher Cole will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Organ Fund in Perryville, Southeast Hospice in Cape Girardeau, or Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, FL 33823. |
