Arnold W. Ernst

A funeral was held today, Monday, August 15th, 2005 for 78-year-old Arnold W. Ernst of Biehle who died Friday, August 12th at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born February 9th, 1927 in Biehle, the son of Joseph L. Ernst and Anna Zoellner Ernst, who both preceded him in death.

He married Margaret C. Wibbenmeyer on May 21st, 1949 in Apple Creek. She survives in Biehle.

Survivors also include: two daughters, Cathy Hagan and Denise Jones, both of St. Louis; three sons, Larry Ernst of Biehle, Ronnie Ernst of Lake St. Louis and Michael Ernst of Perryville; one sister, Anna Mae Blanc of St. Louis; six brothers, Joseph O. Ernst, Stanley Ernst, Donald Ernst, Tom Ernst and Ed Ernst, all of St. Louis and Bernard Ernst of Perryville; 17 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A brother, Weldon Ernst, also preceded him in death.

He was a farmer and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served during the Korean War.

He was a member of the St. Maurus Catholic Church. He was also a member of the American Legion Post No. 133.

A funeral mass for 78-year-old Arnold W. Ernst of Biehle was held today, Monday, August 15th at the St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle. The Rev. Tony Datillo officiated.

Burial was in the St. Maurus Church cemetery with graveside military honors by American Legion Post No. 133.

The Miller Family Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
