Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 28^th, 2005, for 77-year-old Cosimo F. Genovese of Perryville, who died Sunday, July 24^th, 2005 at Perry Oaks Manor.

He was born August 13^th, 1927 in Rochester, NY, the son of Joseph and Ruth (Flescher) Genovese. They preceded him in death.

He married Lorraine Plachta October 18^th, 1947 in Rochester, NY. She survives in Perryville.

Survivors include: two sons, Michael Genovese of Centerville, VA, and David Genovese of Eagen, MN; a daughter, Cindy Cox of Perryville; a sister, Evelyn Skrzynski of Rochester, NY; two step brothers, Peter Genovese of Rochester, NY, and Robert Genovese of Phoenix, AZ; and seven grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a sister.

He was a World War II veteran, serving as a "Seabee" with the U. S. Navy. He worked at Sargent and Greenleaf for 22 years before retiring from America Devices in Steelville, IL.

He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, and was a 3^rd degree Knight of Columbus.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 27^th, and from 6:30-9:50 a.m. Thursday, July 28^th at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers with the Knights of Columbus start at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass for 77-year-old Cosimo F. Genovese of Perryville will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 28^th, 2005 at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. The Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate.

Burial will take place in the Mount Hope Cemetery at a later date.
