Marvin O. Burroughs

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 23rd, 2005 for 88-year-old Marvin O. Burroughs of Perryville, formerly of Frohna, who died Monday, June 20th, 2005, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 19th, 1917, in Frohna, the son of Otto and Magdalena (Mueller) Burroughs, who preceded him in death.

He married Bernice Hellwege October 19th, 1941. She survives in Perryville.

Survivors include: a son and daughter in law, Larry and Ruth Burroughs of Frohna; a daughter, Bonnie M. Burroughs of Chapel Hill, NC; two grandchildren and their spouses, Pam and Jeff Scott, and Angela and John Kelly; and two great grandchildren, Hannah and Emma Scott.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Burroughs, and two sisters, Eugenia Lorenz and Alice Palisch.

He was a farmer, and a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church, LLL, and was a past church trustee in Frohna.

Visitation is from 4:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 22nd, and from 6:30-8:30 a.m. Thursday, June 23rd, at the Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg.

Funeral services for 88-year-old Marvin O. Burroughs of Perryville, formerly of Frohna, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 23rd, 2005 at the Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna. The Rev. Wayne Palmer will officiate.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.
