Martin H. "Max" Funke A funeral will be held Sunday, March 13th, 2005 for 98-year-old Martin H. "Max" Funke of Perryville who died today (Friday, March 11th) at the Perry County Nursing Home. He was born November 6th, 1906 in Longtown, the son of Michael and Barbara (Springer) Funke, who both preceded him in death. Survivors include: a brother, Julian Funke of Overland Park, KS; a sister, Lenola Kohlman of St. Louis; and a sister in law, Ruth Funke of Perryville. He was also preceded in death by four brithers, Lucas, Alvin, Arno and Paul Funke, ans a sister, Ada Mecker. He was a postal worker in St. Louis, and a custodian at the Zion Lutheran Church in Longtown, where he was a lifetime member. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Sunday, March 13th, 2005 at the Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville. A funeral for 98-year-old Martin H. "Max" Funke of Perryville will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 13th at the Young and Sons Chapel. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Longtown. The Rev. Paul Winningham will officiate. Memorials may be made to the school tuition fund for the Zion Lutheran Church. |
