Lewis A. Dunker

A funeral will be held Friday, November 4th, 2005 for 77-year-old Lewis A. Dunker of Perryville who died today, November 2nd, at Perry Oaks Manor in Perryville.

He was born January 18th, 1928 in White, South Dakota, the son of Hillary and Eunice Biery Dunker, who both preceded him in death.

He married Dolores Feltz on April 10th, 1951 at Sereno. She survives in Perryville.

He is also survived by a son and daughter in law, James and Kim Dunker of Perryville; a daughter and son in law, Debra and James Thomas of St. Mary; two brothers, Delos Dunker of Perryville and Wendell Dunker of Davenport, Iowa; a sister, Donna Olson of Kansas City; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was a truck driver for the Perry County Co-Op.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Holy Name Society and American Legion Post No. 133

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, November 3rd and 6:30-9:30 a.m. Friday, November 4th at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers at 7 p.m. Thursday. Rosary recited at 9 a.m. Friday.

A funeral mass for 77-year-old Lewis A Dunker will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, November 4th at Our Lady of Victory Parish in Sereno. The Rev. Francis Agnew will officiate.

Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville with graveside military honors by American Legion Post No. 133.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation or to Masses.
