Elton J. Drury
He was born October 17th, 1935 in Bloomsdale, the son Alfred J. and Margaret (Kemper) Drury, who both preceded her in death. He married Earline Bohnert on April 26th, 1958 in Longtown. She survives in Perryville. He is also survived by two daughters and sons in law, Linda and Lynn Sprenger of Jackson and Rhonda and Lenn Barber of Perryville; three grandchildren, Annie and Janne Barber of Perryville and Jared Sprenger of Jackson. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harley Drury and Malvern Drury. He was a retired farmer and maintenance worker at Perry County Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, an American Legion Post No. 133 Booster, Perry County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Missouri National Guard, Perry County Sheriff's Patrol and Deputy Sheriff. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 4th and 6:30-8:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 5th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A funeral for 69-year-old Elton J. Drury of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 5th at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Christopher Cole will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran School Building Fund, Radio Broadcast or American Cancer or Heart Association.
