Ina Foster Canter
She was born December 23rd, 1915 in New Madrid, the daughter of Ben and Ambrosia (Tucker) Hudson, who both preceded her in death. She married Robert James Foster. He preceded her in death. She married Edward Canter. He preceded her in death. She is survived by four daughters and sons in law, Naomi and Robert Ziha of Chesterfield, Barbara and Robert Chronister of Hyde Park, New York, Betty and Mel Sutherland of Florrisant and Ina and Russ Owen of Fenton; a son and daughter in law, Robert and Linda Foster of Fairmount, Indiana; a sister in law, Hattie Hudson of Rimersburg, Pennsylvania; 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Doris Skaggs and two brothers, Clell Hudson and Adrian Hudson. She was a member of the St. James Catholic Church in Crosstown for many years and then became a member of the Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer when she moved to Perryville. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 18th and 6:30-10:15 a.m. Wednesday, October 19th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A Catholic wake will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A funeral mass for 89-year-old Ina Foster Canter of Perryville will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 19th at the Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer. Burial will be in the St. James Catholic Church Cemetery in Crosstown. The Rev. Felipe Martinez CM will officiate. |
