Olive D. Brown

A funeral will be held Monday, October 31st, 2005 for 84-year-old Olive D. Brown of Perryville, who died Tuesday, October 25th at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born November 3rd, 1920 in Evans, West Virginia, the daughter of Okey E. and Ethel Sayre Donohew, who both preceded her in death.

She married Charles E. Brown on March 14th, 1939 in Winchester, West Virginia. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are three daughters and sons in law: Jacqueline Crice (Larry Deimund and family) of Perryville, Judy Schmidt of Centralia and Dorothy and Joe Brodmerckel of Hookstown, Pennsylvania; one sister and brother in law, Rhea and Donald Peters of Jeffersonville, Indiana; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, a grandson and a granddaughter.

She was a homemaker and member of the Freewill Baptist Church of Viburnum. She was also a member of the Ironton Chapter of Eastern Star. She served as District Deputy Grand Matron of the 49th District Grand Chapter of Missouri in 1988 and 1989.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday, October 27th at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. An Eastern Star service will be held at 7 p.m.

Visitation will continue Sunday, October 30th at the Welch Funeral Home in Hoodstown, Pennsylvania.

A funeral for 84-year-old Olive D. Brown of Perryville will be held Monday, October 31st at the Welch Funeral Home in Hoodstown. Burial will be in the Mill Creek Cemetery in Hookstown, Pennsylvania.

Memorials may be made to the Oncology Department at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville.
