A funeral was held Monday, September 5th, 2005 for 99-year-old Carl A. Budendistel of Perryville who died Saturday, September 3rd at the Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born August 15th, 1906 in Perry County, the son of Lawrence and Anna Deitch Baudendistel.

He married Adele Bey on April 18th, 1942. She preceded him in death.

Survivors include: a daughter and son in law, Carlene and John Rauh of Perryville; a son and daughter in law, Edward and Laura Baudendistel of Perryville; two granddaughters and their spouses, Hope and Thomas Frane of Portland, Oregon and Kelly and Craig Baumer of St. Louis; one great grandchildren, Matthew and Meghan Baumer and Jacob and Sophia Frane; one brother, Howard Baudendistel of St. Louis and two sisters, Rita Mullins of Perryville and Anita Wendell of St. Louis.

He was also preceded in death by six brothers and a sister.

He was a farmer and member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville and the Holy Name Society.

A funeral mass for 99-year-old Carl A. Baudendistel of Perryville was held Monday, September 5th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. The Rev. Kevin S. Fausz, CM, officiated. Burial was in the Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Education Fund or to Southeast Hospice.

The Miller Family Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
