James C. "Charlie" Brewer Funeral Mass will be held Monday, September 19th, 2005 for 66-year-old James C. "Charlie" Brewer of Perryville, who died Thursday, September 15th, 2005 at his home. He was born June 1st, 1939 in Perry County, the son of Harley Brewer, who preceded him in death, and Agnes Cecilia (Swink) Brewer, who survives in Perryville. Survivors also include: four sons, Duane, Derek, Daren and Douglas Brewer, all of Perryville; a sister, Debbie Thieret of Longtown; three brothers, David Brewer of Festus, Gene Brewer of Tennessee, Jerry Brewer of Perryville; four grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Lee Brewer. He was retired from Gilster Mary-Lee, and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He was a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer, Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, Holy Name Society, AmVets, and American Legion Post 133. Visitation is from 5-9 p.m. Sunday, September 18th, and from 6:30-9:40 a.m. Monday, September 19th at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. A parish wake with the Knights of Columbus will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday, followed by an American Legion service. The Rosary will be recited Monday at 9 a.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Mass for 67-year-old James C. "Charlie" Brewer of Perryville will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, September 19th, 2005 at the Christ the Savior Parish in Brewer. The Rev. Felipe Martinez will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville. You may make memorials to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice, Inc. The Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville is handling all arrangements. |
