Floyd F. Boxdorfer
He was born August 30th, 1926 in Menfro, the son of Fred W. and Edna Klobe Boxdorfer, who both preceded him in death. He married Alice Kirn on May 24th, 1952 in Perryville. She survives. He is also survived by two sons and daughters in law, Randy and Debra Boxdorfer of Perryville and Larry and NeeCee Boxdorfer of Perryville; three sisters: Hallie Pourney, Wilda Favier and Margie Hudson, all of Perryville; a brother and sister in law, Roy Lee and Virginia Boxdorfer of Barnhart; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert E. Boxdorfer. He was a mechanic and truck driver and a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post No. 133. He was also a long time member of Alcoholics Anonymous, helping many people find sobriety. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Sunday, April 16th and 6:30-9:50 a.m. Monday, April 17th at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. A parish wake will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with an American Legion service immediately following. The Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. A funeral mass for 79-year-old Floyd F. Boxdorfer of Perryville will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, April 17th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. The Revs. Kevin P. Fausz C.M. and Rickey Valleroy C.M. will co-officiate. Burial will be in the St. Boniface Cemetery with graveside military honors by American Legion Post No. 133.
