Norma M. Hawthorne

A funeral will be held Tuesday, February 14th, 2006 for 83-year-old Norma M. Hawthorne of Perryville, who died Saturday, February 11th at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born September 27th, 1922 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Hancel and Marjorie (Overpack) Harris, who both preceded her in death.

She married Thomas Thompson in October 1940. He preceded her in death.

She married John Hawthorne on September 7th, 1962. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son, Norman Thompson of Coffman; four daughters, Lucille Burnette of Perryville, Joyce Signorelli of St. Louis, Wanda Weber of Crosby, Texas and Linda Mueller of Coffman; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by a grandson; a sister, Lucille Woodruff; a half-sister Shirley and a half-brother Howard Smith.

She was a member of the Whitewater Christian Church.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. this (Monday, February 13th) afternoon and evening and 6:30-8:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 14th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for 83-year-old Norma M. Hawthorne of Perryville will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 14th at the Whitewater Christian Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Alan Martin will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Whitewater Christian Church or Cemetery.
