Eugene L. Brown A funeral will be held Thursday, July 6th, 2006 for 89-year-old Eugene L. Brown of Perryville, who died Monday, July 3rd at the Perry County Nursing Home.
He is survived by two sisters: Jeanette Maxfield of Denver, Colorado and Aurelia Mattingly of Brewer; a brother: Louis Brown Jr. of St. Louis and nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by four brothers and a sister. He was farmer and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, VFW Post No. 4282, American Legion Post No. 133, Holy Name Society and was a Third Degree Knight of Columbus. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 5th and 6:30-10:50 a.m. Thursday, July 6th at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. An American Legion service will be held at 6:15 p.m., a VFW service will be held at 6:45 p.m. and Parish Prayers with the Knights of Columbus will be held at 7 p.m., all Wednesday evening at the funeral home. The Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A funeral mass for 89-year-old Eugene L. Brown of Perryville will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 6th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Kevin P. Fausz, CM, will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Boniface Cemetery with graveside military honors provided by VFW Post No. 4282. Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Endowment Fund or the Alzheimer's Association. |
