A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, July 29^th, 2006 for 79-year-old Joseph A. Esselman of Perryville, who died today (Tuesday, July 25^th, 2006) at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 30^th, 1927 in St. Louis, the son of Albert and Alice (Pound) Esselman. They preceded him in death.

He married Verna Prost May 2^nd, 1950. She survives in Perryville.

He is survived by a sister in law, Betty Prost of Belleville, IL; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

He was a U. S. Federal Mediator, and an insurance consultant for Blue Cross/Blue Shield.

He was a member of the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno.

Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Saturday, July 29^th at the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno.

A Funeral Mass for 79-year-old Joseph A. Esselman of Perryville will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 29^th, 2006 at the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno. The Rev. Frances Agnew will officiate.

Burial will follow in the St. Mary Cemetery.
