Ruth Lydia Hemmann

A funeral will be held Friday, July 28th, 2006 for 85-year-old Ruth Lydia Hemmann of Uniontown who died today, Tuesday, July 25th at Park Side Meadows in St. Charles.

She was born August 3rd, 1920 in Uniontown, the daughter of Gottfried G. and Emma (Franke) Hemmann who both preceded her in death.

She married Edwin G. Hemmann on February 9th, 1941. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by three sons and two daughters in law: Robert and Joyce Hemmann of Cape Girardeau, Gary and Mary Hemmann of St. Charles and Edward Hemmann of Chesterfield; six grandchildren: Mark Hemmann, Kristy Vanek, Scott Hemmann, Aaron Hemmann, Jonathon Hemmann and Jordan Hemmann; and three great grandchildren: Madison Vanek, Paige Vanek and Parker Hemmann.

She was also preceded in death by one infant son and a sister, Norma Pfeiffer.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 27th and 6:30-8:15 a.m. Friday, July 28th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for 85-year-old Ruth Lydia Hemmann of Uniontown will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 28th at the Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Paul Winningham will officiate.

Memorials may be made to Lutheran Women's Missionary League in Uniontown or to the Perry County Lutheran Historical Society.
