A funeral will be held Thursday, March 2nd, 2006 for 88-year-old Linda E. Bohnert of Perryville, who died Monday, February 27th at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 5th, 1917 in Perry County, the daughter of William and Emma (Hoehn) Boxdorfer, who both preceded her in death.

She married Melvin Bohnert on May 6th, 1939. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter, Ina Manning of Perryville; a son in law, Clarence Meyer of Frohna; seven grandchildren, Renee Bader, Jane Prevallet, Alisa Schumer, Wayne Meyer, Rhonda Henderson, Crista Meyer and Dean Meyer; nine great grandchildren, Justin and Logan Bader, Dylan and Jared Prevallet, Bridget and Ryan Schumer, Kylee and Kaden Meyer and John Henderson.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Fay L. Meyer; a son, Arnold Lee Bohnert; a grandson, Eugene Meyer; four brothers, William, Herman, Edwin and her twin brother, Levi Boxdorfer; four sisters, Flora Petot, Lela Vernon, Emma Hennemann and Lenita Statler.

She worked in the fitting department of the shoe factory.

She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 1st and 6:30-8:30 a.m. Thursday, March 2nd at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for 88-year-old Linda E. Bohnert of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 2nd at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Matthew Marks will officiate.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
