Robert L. Berkbigler, Sr.

A funeral will be held Friday, November 3rd, 2006 for 74-year-old Robert L. Berkbigler, Sr. of Perryville, who died today (Tuesday, October 31st, 2006) at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born July 23, 1932 in Perryville, the son of Daniel and Mabel (Miget) Berkbigler. They preceded him in death.

He married Wanda Niemeyer. She survives in Perryville.

He is survived by a son, Robert L. Berkbigler, Jr. of Perryville; a brother, Daniel J. Berkbigler of Ste. Genevieve; six sisters, Marie Hinni of Cape Girardeau, Rose Mary Stenech of Tucson, AZ, Anna Mae Balsman of Miami, FL, Nina Gross of Godfrey, IL, Merle Bradford of Cassville, Pearl Moore of Hamond, LA.

He was a mechanic, a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, and past member of the American Legion and AmVets.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, November 2nd, and from 6:30-11:50 a.m. Friday, November 3rd at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. A Parish Wake will be held Thursday at 6 p.m., and the Rosary will be recited Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

A funeral for 74-year-old Robert L. Berkbigler, Sr. of Perryville will be held at noon Friday, November 3rd, 2006 at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery. American Legion Post 133 will provide military graveside honors.
