Gerlayn A Buchheit

A funeral will be held Wednesday, October 11th, 2006 for 49-year-old Geralyn A. Buchheit of Perryville who died Saturday, October 7th at St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis.

She was born November 20th, 1956 in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Bertrand Vincent and Margie Jean (Brewer) Mattingly who survive in Perryville.

She married Gary J. Buchheit on November 8th, 1975. He survives.

She is also survived by two daughters and a son in law: Angela L. and Bradley Smith of Arnold and Jenny M. Buchheit of Springfield; five brothers and two sisters in law: Mark and Terry Mattingly of Perryville, Bruce Mattingly of Perryville, Kent Mattingly of Jackson, Kris Mattingly of Perryville, and Brady and Charleen Mattingly of Carthage; three sisters and four brothers in law: Lisa and Brian McGivern of Edwardsville, Illinois, Connie and Steve Prost of Perryville, Kathy and Kurt LaRose of Tallahassee, Florida, and Earl W. Buchheit of Perryville; two grandsons: Kyle J. and Dylan M. Smith; many nieces and nephews; and close friends: Beryl Moore, Pat Moore and Karen Duvall.

She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and a volunteer at the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in Perryville. She was a former member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church and Blessed Sacrament Sodality in Brewer and the Perry County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Tuesday, October 10th and 6:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 11th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A parish wake will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

A funeral for 49-year-old Geralyn A. Buchheit of Perryville will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 11th at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. The Revs. Kevin Fausz CM and Henry Grodecki will concelebrate the mass.
