Oliver 'Ollie' Hoehn

A funeral will be held Saturday, October 14th, 2006 for 86-year-old Oliver 'Ollie' Hoehn of Perryville, who died Wednesday, October 11th, 2006 at his residence.

He was born July 27th, 1920 in St. Louis, the son of Edward and Emma (Popp) Hoehn. They preceded him in death.

He married Mary Williams June 11th, 1968. She survives in Perryville.

He is survived by two daughters, Gloria Hoehn and Olivia Roberts, both of Perryville; a son, Tim Hoehn of Perryville; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Verna Sawyer, and a grandson.

He was owner/operator of Ollie's Sales and Service (currently Tisher Sales and Service) in Perryville, where he sold office supplies and sewing machines. He also farmed.

He was a U. S. Army veteran of WWII, and a Purple Heart recipient.

He was a member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 45, American Legion Post 133, and the Grace Lutheran Church in St. Louis. He was a former member of VFW Post 4282.

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Friday, October 13th, and from 6:30 a.m.-noon Saturday, October 14th at the Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville. An American Legion Wake will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at the Chapel.

A funeral for 86-year-old Oliver 'Ollie' Hoehn of Perryville will be held at noon Saturday, October 14th, 2006 at the Young and Sons Chapel. The Rev. Dennis Cebulak will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Hoehn Family Cemetery. VFW Post 4282 will provide military graveside honors.
