Dale W. Brown A funeral will be held Monday, April 23rd for 53-year-old Dale W. Brown of Russellville, Arkansas, formerly of Perryville, who died Friday, April 20 at his home.
He is survived by his wife Connie Minks Brown, a daughter, Brenna Brown, who was his "special pal," and two sons, Kit Brown of Rogers, Dale Brown, II and his wife Emmy Brown of Fayetteville, Arkansas. He is also survived by a brother, Roger L. Brown of Dardanelle, Arkansas, and extended family residing in Pope County and Tennessee. He was also preceded in death by a twin sister Gale Brown, a brother Melvin, Jr, and his grandparents Emma and Edgar Fassold and Merlin and Judie Hudson Brown. He lived as a child in the Perryville area. He was preceded in death by a twin sister, who is buried in Perryville. He graduated from Russellville High School in 1972, and Arkansas Tech University in 1976 where he served as student government president and was a founding member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. He was Vice President of Sales at Taber Extrusions in Russellville where he had many friends, and was a public accountant for many years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Russellville. He previously served on the Arkansas Tech University Board of Trustees, and was a former member of the Russellville Civil Service Commission. He was Chairman of the Pope County Election Commission; a former Justice of the Peace on the Pope County Quorum Court where he was instrumental in obtaining the first rescue unit for the Pope County Ambulance Service; former Pope County 911 board member; former Pope County Coroner; former Chairman of the Pope County Democratic Party; a former member and past president of Rotary and was a Paul Harris Fellow; former Shelter of Sunshine Board member; honorary chair of River Valley Heart Walk Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home. A funeral for 53-year-old Dale W. Brown of Russellville, Arkansas will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 23rd at the First United Methodist Church in Russellville with the Rev. Mackey Yokem officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
