Ted J. Ballman Jr.

A funeral was held this morning, Monday, August 13th, 2007 for 65-year-old Ted J. Ballman Jr. of Perryville, who died Friday, August 10th at his residence.

He was born November 7th, 1941 in St. Louis, the son of Theodore Joseph and Anna M. (Hogenmiller) Ballman Sr. who both preceded him in death.

He married Donna L. Ernst on September 15th, 1962. She survives in Perryville.

He is also survived by a son and daughter in law, Tom and Sharon Ballman of Perryville; a daughter and son in law, Dana and Mark Pritchard of Perryville; a sister, Elizabeth Ann Ballman of St. Louis and two grandchildren, Samantha and Hunter Pritchard.

He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, St. Vincent Alumni, Holy Name Society, Seminary Picnic Committee, Boy Scout Troop 250 Committee and recipient of the Catholic Scouting Award: the Benedictine Medal, the University of Missouri Extension Council, Otahki Girl Scout Council and recipient of the Thanks Badge and the Thanks II Badge.

He was a retired Captain with the Perryville Fire Department, Charter member of the Rural Fire Association, SB-40 board member, American Legion Post No. 133 Booster Member, American Red Cross 13 Gallon Blood Donor, River Hills Antique Tractor Club and was the 2005 Mayfest Grand Marshal.

A funeral mass for 65-year-old Ted J. Ballman Jr. of Perryville was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. today at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Rickey Valleroy officiated.
